One of the questions I get asked all the time is about good snack and lunch options for kids and teachers at school, especially nut free options! Many schools are peanut or peanut & tree nut free because nut allergies are common - it can be hard to find options that are safe to bring to school, especially when you're not used to eating nut free all the time.

Here are some of my personal favorite brands and ideas!

Noka Pouches

I mentioned Noka in this post too, My Favorite Snacks On The Go - they are truly a favorite in this house! They are superfood smoothies packed with great ingredients and come in so many delicious flavors. They can be refrigerated but don't have to be so they're great for on the go - some flavors do have nut butters but there are plenty that don't! You can buy them online (I usually do Amazon or Thrive Market) but have seen them in some local stores too!

88 acres - Bars and Seed Butters

I LOVE this brand and for my MA people, they're local - I mentioned them on my previous post too! The whole brand is peanut and tree nut free so all products are school safe (they're actually top 8 allergen free)! They have delicious seed & oat bars, protein bars, seed butters and "Seed'Nola". These can be great snack options or add the seed butters to a sandwich or with fruit! You can shop on Amazon here or find them in stores with their store locator!

Made Good

Another awesome allergy friendly brand with so many delicious snacks! I LOVE the Crispy Squares (a allergy free Rice Krispie treat) and the granola bars! They have SO many options and are sold in most stores or on Amazon here.

Protein Drinks

Pre-made protein drinks can be a great option on busy days! Having a nutritious option ready to go or grab on your way out the door can be so helpful for busy kids (busy anyone really) or maybe teachers who don't always have time to sit and eat. There are a lot of great brands with tons of varieties and options, some flavors might have peanut or tree nuts but many don't! Here are a few brands I love
-OWYN - This brand has tons of options and very strict testing for Top 8 Allergens! OWYN on Amazon
-Orgain - I have been shopping this brand for years, tons of options and even have plant based options. Orgain on Amazon
-Aloha - If you follow me on Instagram you know my love for Aloha products! The bars contain peanuts & tree nuts (some flavors do not contain peanuts) but the drinks only contain coconut. My favorites are the coconut and chocolate drinks! Aloha Affiliate Link - this link will save you 15% automatically but if there is a better promo happening that will apply instead.

Homemade Trail Mix

This is a fun one because you can make it whatever you want! Think of things like pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds, chocolate chips, dried fruit or raisins, Chex cereal, small crackers or pretzels

Other Ideas:

- Sun Butter: a nut butter alternative made from sunflower seeds, a perfect swap for a pb & j!
- Yogurt and Apple Sauce pouches: Add granola to yogurt to make it more filling
- Pretzels, chips or crackers
- Cheese Sticks or Babybel cheeses: Add crackers and fruit or veggies for a more filling snack
- Raw veggies or crackers with hummus
- Raw veggies with salad dressing
- Skout Organic bars: some options are nut free!
- Nature's Bakery Fig Bars
- Enjoy Life Products
- Safe & Fair products
- Fruit Snacks: I love the brands Solely and Bear because they don't add sugar but still taste great!

I'd love to hear if you give any of these a try or if you have a favorite nut free food to tell me about! Keep following here for more blog posts or join me on Instagram @kaitlynhwellness - thanks for reading and I hope this post helps make packing lunch a little easier!
